📖 The Pa' La Casa Guide

Each person creates their profile and then chooses how to enter:

1. 1Enter your name and tap Continue — no email, phone number, or password.
2. 2If someone in your family already created the group, choose “Join my family” and enter their 8-character code.
3. 3If you're the first person, choose “Create a new family”. The app gives you one code to share.
4. 4Done! Everyone shares the same list, the same alerts, the same digital home.

💡 Created an empty family by mistake? In Family, tap “Join with a code”. The app preserves your profile and moves you to the right group without deleting information.

One list for everyone, live: what one adds, everyone sees instantly.

1. 1Type the item below and tap +. Add several at once: “milk, bread and eggs”.
2. 2The list organizes ITSELF by store aisle (produce, meats, dairy…) so you shop without zig-zagging.
3. 3Tap the quantity (or “+ quantity”) for “2 lb”, “1 dozen”, whatever you need.
4. 4To mark something bought, tap the CIRCLE on the right — only the circle, so nothing gets checked by accident.
5. 5Every item shows who asked for it and when.

💡 Made a mistake? Open “Show completed” and bring it back with one tap.

Say your list like you'd say it at home — Spanish, English and Spanglish all work.

1. 1Tap the mic 🎤 next to the typing box.
2. 2Speak naturally: “two pounds of tomatoes, paper towels, lactose-free milk”.
3. 3Tap ⏹ to finish. The app splits each item, sets quantities and files them in their aisle.

💡 Great while driving (phone in its mount) — dictate the list on the way to the store.

Want THAT exact brand? Snap a photo and the app names it for you.

1. 1Tap the camera 📷 in the add bar.
2. 2Photograph the product (label facing you helps).
3. 3The AI identifies it with brand and size — “noosa vanilla yoghurt 4 pack” — and adds it with its photo so the shopper finds exactly that one.

💡 Perfect for the products only you know: a photo beats a thousand descriptions.

The star feature: when you arrive at YOUR store, your family's phones ring. No texting, no buttons.

1. 1Go to the Stores tab and save your usual supermarkets (search by name, tap save).
2. 2When you continue, your phone will guide you through allowing location even while the app is closed. iOS may do this in more than one step.
3. 3Done. Next time anyone in the family walks into that store, everyone gets: “🛒 Carlos at Publix — need anything?”
4. 4Whatever they add while you're inside reaches you right there in the aisle.

💡 The alert takes ~2 minutes to confirm you really went in (so it stays quiet if you just drive past). Your family sees the store name during the trip, but never your coordinates, a map, or your routes.

For the “which brand was it?” moment — a private chat that only exists during the shopping trip.

1. 1Only the person IN the store can open a chat: tap 💬 next to an item someone else requested.
2. 2A private conversation opens with whoever asked for it — nobody else sees it.
3. 3Send a shelf photo 📷: “this box or the purple one?” — instant answer.
4. 4When you leave the store, chats archive themselves.

💡 Others can't message the shopper unless the shopper wrote first — zero distractions while shopping.

Find out what your family REALLY spends — most people have no idea.

1. 1Leaving the store, open Receipts (in the List tab) and tap “Scan receipt”.
2. 2Photograph the whole ticket. The AI reads every item with its price.
3. 3The app totals your month and keeps a history of every trip by store.

💡 Scan EVERY receipt the first month — the number will surprise you (it surprised us 🙈).

Write what you'll cook and the shopping list builds itself, dish by dish.

1. 1In the Menu tab, write one dish per day: “Monday: chicken and rice, Tuesday: tacos…” — any cuisine.
2. 2Pick how many people and tap “Generate shopping list”.
3. 3The app lists ALL the ingredients with quantities, grouped by dish — uncheck what you already have.
4. 4Tap 🍳 next to any dish for the full step-by-step recipe (hundreds included: Peruvian, Mexican, Central American, Caribbean and world classics).

💡 Repeated dishes add up on their own: if Monday and Thursday both need rice, the list asks for the total.

Furry ones are family too — truthful history and care that doesn't get forgotten.

1. 1In the Pets tab, add your companion (name, species, photo if you like).
2. 2Log events: vaccines, meds, baths, vet visits — with date and repetition (“every 3 months”).
3. 3The app alerts the family when something is due or overdue. Dates never advance by themselves: tap “Done”, “Tomorrow” or “Skip”.

💡 Pa' La Casa never guesses medical dates. Enter the dates given by your veterinarian.

Save something you saw away from home with enough context to find it later.

1. 1Open Snaps and take the photo: an ad, a magazine page, a product, a place or an idea.
2. 2Review the preview and write one short phrase: “living-room lamp I saw at Target”.
3. 3Classify it as a place, idea, product, reminder or with a pet's name.
4. 4Later, search by that note, correct its context or delete it. Snaps are private to the person who saved them.

💡 Snaps is different from “Add by photo”: one remembers something for you; the other identifies a product and puts it on the family list.

Your personal to-dos, with reminders — and appointments can be shared.

1. 1Dates: add “dentist Friday 3 pm”, choose when to be reminded (15 min, 1 hour, 1 day before).
2. 2Share it with anyone in the family — they get the reminder too.
3. 3Tasks: your private, simple to-do list.

You have Plus from day one. When the second member joins, 30 full days of EVERYTHING begin. Afterwards:

2. 2On the new phone: open the app, tap “I already have an account” and enter the code.
3. 3You're back exactly as you were: your family, your list, your history.

House rules, carved in stone:

1. 1No email, no phone number, no passwords — we don't ask, we don't have them.
2. 2Location only detects entry and exit at saved stores. Your family can see the store name during the trip, but never your coordinates, a map, or your routes.
3. 3Minors' phones (marked 🧒 by the owner) never share location.
4. 4Your data belongs to your family: zero ads, zero data sales, and the owner can erase everything anytime.
