How does the family know when someone is at the store?＋
Pa' La Casa detects by GPS when a family member walks into a saved store and automatically notifies everyone else — even with the app closed and the phone in a pocket. No buttons, no check-ins: it's automatic.
Does it work in Spanish and English?＋
Yes — fully bilingual. Each family member picks their own app language, the shared list lives in the language the family chooses, and voice dictation understands Spanish, English and Spanglish.
How do I add items to the list?＋
Four ways: type them, dictate them by voice ('2 kilos of tomatoes and a dozen eggs'), snap a photo of the exact product and AI names it (brand included), or type your weekly menu and AI builds the shopping list with quantities.
Can I know how much my family spends on groceries?＋
Yes. Scan the receipt when you leave the store and the app reads every product and price. You get a monthly total and a receipt archive for your family.
How much does Pa' La Casa cost?＋
30 days free with FULL access for the whole family. After that, one subscription of $24.99 per YEAR — and only the account owner (the person who creates the family) pays it. Up to 10 invited family members are covered by that single subscription; they never pay anything.
Does every family member create their own account?＋
No — and this matters: only ONE person (the account owner) creates the family in the app. Everyone else downloads the app, taps 'I have a code' and enters the 6-letter code the app gave the owner. One single code works for the whole family. If each person creates their own family, they'll end up in separate groups.
How many people can be in a family?＋
Up to 10 members under one family. Everyone joins with a simple 6-letter code — no emails or passwords needed.
Can my family see where I am?＋
No. Pa' La Casa has no map and no location history. It only sends an alert when you walk into a store YOU chose to save — nobody can see your location, your routes are never stored, and outside your saved stores the app knows nothing about where you are.
Does it drain the battery with GPS?＋
No. It uses the phone's native geofencing (the same low-power system iOS uses for reminders), not continuous GPS tracking.
Who can see my family's data?＋
Only your family. Each family's data is isolated, it is never sold, and the owner can delete the whole account and its data at any time from the app.
